Molecular study of turnip mosaic virus population in the Czech Republic

چکیده

Turnip mosaic virus (TuMV) is the most important of brassica crops. In our study, we compare genetic structure two Czech TuMV populations sampled in country's 25-year interval presence. The 21 isolates, mainly infecting rutabaga and horseradish, were collected from four farms under organic production, nearly complete genome sequences, 9 596–9 787 nt length, obtained using Sanger sequencing for all them. analysis variability polymorphism showed differences but relative stability both moderate negative selection as a factor affecting current population. newly isolates are characterised by relatively high frequency intralineage recombinants; interlineage recombinants not detected compared to 25-year-old phylogenetic allowed classification into world-B phylogroup, with prevalence subgroup B2. spread belonging other groups posing higher phytopathological risk, which present old population some surrounding countries, was found.

Equilibrium sedimentation of turnip yellow mosaic virus.

Sedimentation equilibrium was achieved with turnip yellow mosaic virus at low speeds (600 rpm) in a magnetic ultracentrifuge. The experiments were carried out in the newly installed constant-speed rotor, equipped with automatic control and an electromagnetic drive. A particle mass of 5.55 x 10(6) daltons was calculated for the virus at vanishing concentrations, in essential agreement with the e...

Variability of Bean yellow mosaic virus isolates in the Czech Republic.

Three isolates of Bean yellow mosaic virus (BYMV) from the Czech Republic originating from gladiolus plants were examined according to their biological and molecular characteristics. Partial sequence of coat protein-nuclear inclusion protein b (CP-NIb) coding region (768 bp) of these isolates were determined and compared with the corresponding sequences of different BYMV isolates obtained from ...

Serological Interrelationships in the Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Group .--I

The serological interrelationships between eleven viruses in the turnip yellow mosaic virus group (tymoviruses) were studied with 2% antisera from 48 rabbits. Antisera from different rabbits and from different bleedings of the same rabbit showed considerable differences in their homologous and heterologous reactivities. A classification based on average serological differentiation indices is pr...
